The best April Fools pranks are the ones that have been circulating for several decades already. You can prepare a sign that would say "Kick Me" then put it at the back of the person you want to prank. Of course, see to it that they are oblivious that you already placed the paper at their back. Moreover, you should also remember to put a robust scotch tape so it would not easily doff out of their clothes. In the country of the French, this is one of the classic April Fools Day pranks. But rather than putting the "Kick Me" sign, they simply draw a fish and put the words "Poissin d'Avril". In English, these words mean "Fish of April."

Before e-mails became popular, some of the best April Fools pranks were done through the phone. Today, these pranks are now also done via Internet as well. They send e-mails that would tell the recipient about ridiculous things such as scandals, new inventions, and the like. Some of these pranksters working in an office also send their colleagues with announcements such as their boss will be out for the whole day, they can have a day off for the whole day, or it is someone's birthday and they will get a free lunch.
